History of the Asticou Inn
We are thrilled to be considered as a venue for your event. The Asticou Inn is a spectacular setting for all types of occasions and has been for over 100 years. Our renowned head of the harbor site, with its extraordinary grounds has a turn of the century charm that sets us apart. We take great pleasure in assisting you with your special event, from small dinners for 25 to lavish weddings for 200. We can offer your guests lodging at a discount for groups booking 10 or more rooms. We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you and our guests.

What can kids do? There are days of fun just walking across the street to the Acadia National Park connector trails. Connecting to an "adventure playground" where the kids can climb a nearby mountain park trail or ride their bikes on the 57 miles of park carriage roads. There is also a FREE bus service that goes all through the park and other places on the Island like Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor. The bus also goes to Sand Beach and along the "Scenic Ocean View" Park Loop road past Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs-- bike racks are availabe on the buses. Just minutes away the "Northeast Harbor Outdoor Movie Night" is back for the 2015 season.

The Acadia Corporation, the former operators of the Jordan Pond House and stewards of its traditions, is excited to be managing the Asticou Inn & Restaurant. The Asticou and the Jordan Pond House have a shared history originating in the 19th century of offering respite in the midst of the glacial beauty of Mount Desert Island.

Here at the Asticou, we have a wonderful and dedicated group of people working together to ensure that our guests are taken care of. Each year we begin hiring in January for our upcoming mid-May through October season.
